Our advice for how to proceed once repairs are finished. You're almost done, just some final steps and things to keep in mind.
Once your insurance claim is closed and the work at your property is finished, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
If you made any changes or improvements to your home, it is always recommended that you notify your insurance. This is true regardless of whether these changes are the result of a loss (water, fire, smoke etc.)Â or simply renovations.
Ex. If you replace your roof, take photos and keep invoices. Notify your insurance so that the next time you have a loss, you will be fairly compensated by your insurance.
Our office is always happy to provide you with our documentation for your records.
This includes things like invoices, plumber's or roofer's reports, photographs, drylogs, and signed contracts.
